Completed a 7 day mini shred this week. What a week! I am always that person that joins a gym and pay for a year and... never go because I don’t know what I’m doing or what best exercises to do for my stubborn bits. Chris and Luisa were amazing. Guided you all the way throughout , constant virtual support in these tough times and keeping you motivated. All of the classes changed up each day and they gave you the tools to succeed from the start letting you know the right foods to eat. I lost 5lb and feel the best I’ve felt in a long time. They really gave me the boost I needed and to learn to enjoy exercise. I would recommend their services to anyone!!read more

Just done 7 day mini shred with these guys and wow what an experience. For years I’ve stuck my head in the sand... thinking I’ll be ok and the weight will come off eventually with obviously no results, this last week I’ve been put through my paces physically and changed my eating habits drastically. Chris’s talks everyday have had me focused and up for the challenges the new me has. I’m happy to report I lost nearly a stone during this week and if I hadn’t of hurt my back I think I could of pushed myself a lot more. I've just finished a 7 day mini shred with Chris and Lu, what a pair they are! They are so motivated themselves and... that just makes me more motivated. Chris's mini video talks kept me on track and the workouts were epic, can't remember the last time I sweated that much! I have gained so much knowledge this week, I've lost 6.5 llbs and am on track now to keep going. I'd love to do a full shred. my before and after pictures of 1 week have suprised me the most. I have just completed the 7 day mini shred with Chris & Luisa and I can honestly say they are total life changers!... The motivation and coaching they have both given me throughout the week including the talks from Chris and live workouts from Luisa have been so amazing! After meeting Chris and Luisa in Jamaica 3 years ago, we became friends on Facebook and friends of Cobalt Fitness.... Wishing we lived nearer my mum and I signed up to do the 6 week shred two years ago and with the guidance and help of Chris and Luisa we obtained incredible results. Fast forward to this year when Cobalt introduced the 7 day mini shred we eagerly jumped on board. Whilst being on furlough I gained those lockdown pounds and once again with the motivational speeches and workouts I am amazed with my results. I could not recommend Cobalt Fitness enough, my only wish is that we lived closer so I could go to the classes! If you’re looking for weight loss, muscle tone, improved sleep, confidence and a better way of life then Cobalt... Fitness is where you need to go. It’s also full of pretty canny and supportive people. After years of feeling terrible about myself, I started a 6 week shred in April 2018. By October 2019 and the day I got married, I’d lost over 4 stone and felt unreal. I haven’t stopped since the wedding and can’t really imagine not getting up for 5.45am classes anymore. I have just completed my first shred program with Cobalt Fitness and it has been amazing!Going from not being able to... lift a weight above my head to pushing myself to squeeze in an extra few reps in just a few weeks has been so rewarding. It has really changed my mindset and outlook- I have gone from making excuses and treating myself to meals out because I deserve them, to getting out of bed an hour earlier in the morning to fit in a 5K run or getting up without a hangover on a Sunday to go to the gym - something I would have never dreamed of doing before! This gym, and the community, has been a big part of my life for the last year. The shred programme came highly... recommended to me, and it didn't fall short! I achieved so much in terms of weight loss on the 10 weeks worth of shredding that I did, but more importantly I gained strength, confidence and fitness. I've been a member of the CF project since and wouldn't want to be anywhere else at 5:45am! The coaches are dedicated, talented and approachable. I’ve been with Cobalt Fitness for 4+years now. I’ve done 6 week shreds, 28 day challenges, 7 day mega beastings, PT... sessions and joined in the occasional running group.. and from day dot I’ve been blown away by the professional, knowledgeable and supportive team of instructors and the people they refer to for all therapeutic needs.. Let me tell you right now, I’m not the most motivated of people when it comes to clean living nor am I a keen non drinker 😬 and I have been through some (occasionally serious) medical issues.. I could quite easily have jacked it in and there’s been occasions when I’ve felt like it... but I KNOW, when that early early alarm wakes me up, that I will get a personalised and ability catered workout, time taken out to talk to me about what I’m dealing with and what I want to achieve, not to mention an amazing and always friendly group of other workout-tees surrounding me. I simply couldn’t live without Cobalt Fitness now.. Starting the day laughing and smiling changes your mental and spiritual life.. and that’s a fact.. Yeah there’s some mega fittys, the elite, and some seriously intimidating bods but there’s also plenty of people like me who ruddy enjoy working oot and appreciate well tailored classes, a massive range of kit, gorgeous coaches and positive people... and plus, I’ve made some great friends that I do lots of non gym related things with!! 🤫😜Sorry for the essay, and if you’ve read all this then you must be thinking about joining so for you, the reader thinker... So my journey began in January 2019 with my first ever shred program, 14 months later and having completed back to back... shred programs, I am fitter and healthier than I have ever been in my life. My confidence has come on leaps and bounds since joining Cobalt Fitness. Has it been easy? Absolutely not. Has it all been worth it? Absolutely! The sessions are always challenging, intense, varied but most importantly of all, they are an enjoyable experience rather than a chore, and there is a great atmosphere. I cannot recommend Cobalt Fitness highly enough. The coaches’ passion, knowledge, encouragement, and constant motivation, pushes me and keeps me going, even through the challenging times (and there have been more than a few curve balls thrown my way over the last 14 months). I know that without their expert guidance and continued support I never would have achieved such amazing results, they are the best in the business. The coaches really are lovely, inspirational people and deserve every success, they have had such a positive impact on so many peoples’ lives and I cannot thank them enough. Cobalt Fitness has changed my life in so many ways. My whole outlook has changed in regards to exercise and fitness and it has now become part of my everyday life. I have met the most incredible people along the way, whom I now consider to be my CF family and for that I will be forever grateful. Having not done any exercise since my school days, over 30 years ago, I needed to loose some weight. Having tried a... couple of gyms, found that after a rather bland introduction you are left to yourself, with little support motivation soon drained. I started looking at fitness clubs and programmes, Cobalt had some rave reviews, so thought I would give it a try. So glad I did, from the start I felt part of a family, whilst it’s hard going, every session is personal and different. All the coaches are fantastic and go that extra mile to ensure you are more than comfortable with all aspects of the program. The other members become part of the package, so motivation and a sense of achievement is shared, training becomes a good laugh, enjoyable but still focused.After 6 weeks, the results are better than I could of imagined, give them a go you won’t regret it ! Easiest 5 stars I have ever given!read more

Just about to finish my first ever 6 week shred and it has completely changed my life. I have been struggling with my... mental health for years and got myself into a really dark place and needed a change. I was very anxious about starting but so glad i did. 5 weeks nearly a stone lighter but most importantly i feel confident and good about myself, this shred has gave me enough self belief to come off my medication which i never thought i’d achieve within this year never mind 6 weeks. You can’t put a price on changing your life for the better! The instructor are excellent they push you to your limits but understand that everyone is at different levels and accommodate to you. I’m just about to finish my 2nd shred at cobalt, it will be 10 weeks in total. Through this time I have lost 2 stone,... gained confidence, and become much fitter - something that I never imagined possible for myself! 10 weeks ago I had anxiety even just thinking about walking into a gym, and I felt so self conscious about going. Now thanks to all of the trainers and other members I actually enjoy going and it has become part of routine. After attending another fitness class for 2 years I recently started at cobalt fitness and in just over 2 weeks I have... lost 7kgs. I am lifting heavier weights than ever before. My journey began Feb 2019 and have never looked back. The shred programmes are second to none as an introduction or... reintroduction to fitness the teams are small which allows for almost feeling like you have a personal trainer, the coaches adapt to your fitness levels accommodating for any past injuries to allow you to get fitter. I have since moved into CF programme which are bigger classes more intense but still accommodating for injuries and fitness level. After being stuck in a rut I bit the bullet and signed up to do a shred at cobalt best thing I’ve ever done after... tying various other methods of fitness I can defiantly say this is the one for me, I can honestly say every session is different and after doing two shreds not one session has been the same or even similar I’ve been pushed every time and it’s unbelievable what you can achieve when people believe in you and have a passion to drive you, the food plan is amazing and so easy to follow plenty good food to keep you satisfied, as for the coaches the support is amazing and they really do go above and beyond for you to achieve your goal. So I have just completed my 3rd shred this year and feel amazing for it! For me I’ve always struggled with attendance... for regular 24 hour gyms, I just don’t have the motivation for them. Cobalt fitness is a completely different ball game, the workouts are intense but very rewarding, all of the coaches are lovely and amazingly talented they will push you to your limits! I was greeted by Chris and Luisa who made me feel very welcome and after speaking with Chris about the shred and what my goals where I knew this was the place for me. The nutrition is fab and really tasty, the classes are tough but such a good feeling and very rewarding. Signing up for a shred was my way of trying to get my fitness back after recovering from treatment for cancer. So I started my first shred in July. I walked into the first session so scared that I was going to make a fool of... myself and be super unfit. But I was welcomed by an amazing group of people. Some of them had done lots of shreds, some complete beginners. But no one judged. When the meal plan arrived in my inbox I was ready for the usual small portions and bland food that you get from similar programmes. Instead I saw steak and chips, nachos with chilli, chicken pasta and egg fried rice. After following the plan for a week I lost 11lbs!!!! Since then I’ve kept going and have nearly lost 2 stone. Chris,Luisa and Sam are huge supports throughout your journey. Sometimes you are given a bit of tough love but that is because the trainers really do care about your success. I started with the CF30 class and it’s progressed from there, the classes will accommodate ALL levels of fitness and everyone has each other’s back. i rang Chris approximately 9 months ago in a state of help. After being told i needed to loose 6 stone. He instantly... booked me onto a shred starting in just a few days. i had no information about this but took his advice that it was the best way to loose the weight healthy. I was very nervous about signing up with Cobalt fitness, being a mid 30'd lad who is massively overweight and not done... exercise since a light kick about over 10 years ago. I'm only 2 weeks in to my 28 day shred but the change so far is mind blowing. The coaches are amazing and really motivate you unlike anything I've had before. The classes are hard work but once you've done one, you'll be counting down the hours until the next class (I literally jump out of bed at 5:30am!!!). For someone who was as overweight as me to be doing these classes and actually enjoying them is a credit to the team. They tailor the classes to each individual which had really helped me and I feel fitter, stronger and so focused. I wish I had done this 10 years ago instead of burying my head in the sand for so long. I'm just lucky that its only 5 mins from my front door too. If you've thought about these classes and had the same doubts as I had.... DONT, just sign up. It will be the best thing you'll do. I signed up for the 28 day shred, I've since added a 6 week and a further 28 day program as I love the place so much. My journey with Cobalt Fitness began in April with a very tentative email enquiringly as to the average age of... participants on the Bay Bootcamp beginning 1st May.Approaching my 50th birthday, I did not want to be the only "oldie" there.Having been promptly reassured by Chris that I would not be out of place, I took the plunge and signed up.Best thing I have ever done!After my first session, I knew that I had done the right thing. Everyone was so friendly and supportive , and I really did feel at ease straightaway.Since then, I have never looked back. By the end of the 7 week bootcamp, I had lost 20lbs and transformed my whole body shape. It was by no means easy, but definitely made easier with the constant support and encouragement from Chris and Luisa, as well as fellow members.This has spurred me on to do my first shred: one week in and 9 and a half pounds lighter and inches lost already!!Looking forward to seeing what the next 3 weeks brings.I fully intend to "keep on going" after this shred and attend the functional bootcamps - always something different so impossible to get bored with "the same old routines".I highly recommend Cobalt Fitness to anyone wishing to get that feel good factor, whatever their ability/age/fitness levels. Now onto my next 4 week shred after doing the HIIT sessions for a while. All the staff are brilliant - they are friendly, knowledgeable and focussed on getting you fitter and healthier. I was unhealthy, unfit and badly educated on what was good for my body. I had tried other “diets” before but was... still filling my body with artificial sweeteners, low fat, diet and processed food due to my lack of knowledge. I had joined the gym in the past in an attempt to lose weight but had never felt comfortable working out in front of other people as I found working out really hard. I had no clue as to what I should be doing in a gym and couldn’t afford PT sessions, even other boot camps I joined I felt the trainers gave up on me when they realised how rubbish I was. I had tried so many quick fixes but was in need of a complete lifestyle change.I had tried so many things in an attempt to lose weight and tone up and failed on so many occasions. I really didn’t want to fail again. I struggle to keep myself motivated and get frustrated if I don’t results.I joined Cobalt Fitness in the April. I was at rock bottom with my self esteem and work was not helping due to added pressure. Amazing! I haven’t failed and it's now September.Physically I’ve noticed a massive change in my body shape. I’m also slowly losing the weight and felt amazing on a resent holiday in my bikini. My fitness is increasing and I'm now more active than ever. Seeing results keeps me motivated.Mentally, I’ve become stronger. I’ve realised if I really put my all into something I really can do it. I have more energy and don’t feel as tired as before. I’ve been educated on the right foods to eat having dealt with eating issues in the past. When following a plan I don't even feel like I'm on a diet. I have re-educated myself and now eat food that would have been totally off limits previously due to being full fat or naturally high in calories and realised sometimes it’s okay to rest and recharge.Best of all the trainers push me when I really think I can't go on, and the group of people who go to Cobalt have become great friends and motivate each other throughout we are like a big happy family. I've just completed a 4 week shred program with cobalt fitness and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.When... I originally signed up I was cautious of what to expect - I'd let my personal fitness levels slip to non existent, had recently put my back out three times in as many months and was doubtful whether I would be able to keep up, whilst also concerned about injuring my back further.I explained my injuries to all of the team and they made sure to check my form when lifting and correct where necessary, provided loads of useful stretches and in general provided a tonne of encouragement.The atmosphere at every bootcamp was fantastic and not a single person made you feel like you were out of place - everyone is there with the same goal and provided encouragement just when you needed it the most.My overall fitness has improved ten fold - I've knocked 8 minutes off my first 5k run within 3 weeks (and I hate running) of working with these guys, have lost 15lbs in 4 weeks and a further 7cm off the waist and hips!I've loved the experience so much that I've signed up to a monthly membership and will be back on a further 4 week shred later in the year! So, where do I begin? Typical story for me; I went through a pretty bad breakup with my partner and needed to take my... mind of of everything that had happened. A friend from work introduced me to NUCAS Bootcamps and from the first session I was hooked. I learnt about the 6 Week Shred program and immediately signed up for it. Weight training is something that has interested me for years but I didn't do anything about it as a result of my own ignorance. When it comes to weights and muscle building, technique and form are paramount and I had neither. When I was at the gym, I was the guy that evidently had no idea what he was doing, doing inconsistent sets, drifting between machines etc - basically the kind of guy that the experts at the gym laugh at!The 6 Week Shred has been an eye opening experience, one I am exceptionally pleased to have taken part in. To begin with, I've learnt a lot about good technique and form when using all sorts of weights and performing different exercises. I've also learnt how to train and target different muscle groups which is key to solid and even development. I've got some good milestones with weights and as it turns out, I can lift a lot more than I thought I could! As a result of the program, I've nigh on halved my body fat percentage and have gained a fair bit of muscle. The results are clearly visible and it's motivated me to continue building muscle and to do that I will be employing everything that I have learnt from the 6 Week Shred! The most important thing I've learnt a lot about, not just from the 6 Week Shred but the Bootcamps as well, is the importance of good nutrition and maintaining a healthy balanced diet. In terms of loosing weight or gaining muscle, your diet is about 70% of the battle; no matter how hard you try, you can't out train a bad diet. I've learnt the importance of eating the right foods and supplements and when to eat them to maximise gains. This has had a significant impact on my life as a whole. Not only have I seen visible results coupled with the 6 Week Shred and the Bootcamps but the mental and physical results have manifested themselves as well. As a result of my diet, I sleep better, I'm more alert, and significantly more focused and energised throughout the day. It's a great feeling and I won't ever regress to a bad diet. While I've been doing both the 6 Week Shred and the Bootcamps, I've been subject to critique over my diet on the grounds of sustainability. My response has simply been that eating healthy is a choice, one that I have actively made and one that I enjoy. Eating and staying healthy may not always taste good but it does always feel good. And for me, that's what the 6 Week Shred and Bootcamp is all about: Staying healthy, feeling good and having fun! My final note will be one of thanks to the trainers that make the 6 Week Shred and Bootcamps possible: Chris Hartley, Sam Scarr and Adam Sanderson. These guys have been incredible to train under. They're passionate about what they do and they're dedicated to getting you the best results that you can - you couldn't ask for better personal trainers. The classes and programmes are always fresh, always challenging and always getting tougher and tougher. You get great technical advice on both your exercise routine and your nutrition. There is something that suits everyone from 6 & 4 week shreds, bootcamps and HIIT training. I was a classic case of a working full time mum of 2, never putting myself first or making time to look after myself, put on loads of weight and generally not feeling good about myself at all. The first step was hard, I was so unfit but Chris sent messages of support outside of the sessions and the other members were so nice and welcoming, never judging. Chris and the team do not accept 'I cannot do that' a phase I'm guilty of but 'You can do it, you will surprise yourself' A year on I have lost loads of weight, but more importantly fitter and leaner than ever before. I even did my first 10k which I never thought I would. Making time for myself has really helped with coping with day to day stresses and I cannot recommend Chris and the team enough. The people are what makes these programs work from the trainers, other people taking part, facebook private group support and the banter which is always first class. I will continue my journey with Cobalt Fitness, thanks guys xread more

Just finished the 7 day weightloss programme which was one of the best thing's I've done! Mainly joined the programme... to build fitness and gain a better understanding of the correct diet however I've been amazed by the results gained for myself and the rest of the group.
